As Grace
Grace has a monologue in the middle of the film which emphasises a non-linear structure, where she explores her emotions and thoughts about God, criticising a religion where people can be made to feel guilty for their sexuality and identity. Whilst she is digressing into her thoughts about God, there will be direct correlation to Jonah's internal struggle, trying Grace's scene into the message of the film.
